2017 Bundestag Election: voter turnout by 2 p.m. and provisional election result

WIESBADEN – When the 19th German Bundestag is elected on 24 September 2017, the Federal Returning Officer will announce the “voter turnout by 2 p.m. (intermediate result)” in the afternoon and the official provisional election result during election night.

The “voter turnout by 2 p.m. (intermediate result)” will be determined on the basis of the voter turnout in selected polling stations. The result should be available around 3.30 p.m. and will be released by the Federal Returning Officer.

Where research institutes publish election projections after 6 p.m. on election day but before the official provisional election result has been announced, these are results of voter interviews conducted by the institutes after the poll and results of the public counting of votes cast in individual polling stations.
