2021 Bundestag Election: almost half of all persons entitled to vote live in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Bayern and Baden-Württemberg

WIESBADEN – According to an estimate of the Federal Statistical Office, most of the people entitled to vote in the election to the 20th German Bundestag on 26 September 2021 live in Nordrhein-Westfalen (12.8 million), Bayern (9.4 million) and Baden-Württemberg (7.7 million). The Federal Returning Officer also reports that the Länder with the smallest number of people entitled to vote are Bremen (0.5 million) and Saarland (0.7 million). The total of Germans entitled to vote is 60.4 million.
